Stopped by on a Sunday without booking and were greeted and seated as soon as we walked through the door! Food was amazing and service was excellent, we had the Mixed Roast and the Halloumi burger. Only slight criticism would be the price of the drinks. Coming in at about £7.25 for a pint of Moretti, and over £5 for a pint of Coke is hefty. Honestly, the sticky toffee pudding was the best we've ever had! Will happily come back again to try more from the menu.

I went for a late lunch after attending hever castle. The place is warm and welcoming. They even had a fire going. The food was delicious and service was good. They even had 2 dogs inside including a French bulldog who was adorable. If your looking for a local place and good food this has it all.
Visited on Sunday 15th February for a roast with family. We had booked a table, and were seated promptly in a comfortable location. The pub wasn’t overly busy when we arrived at 12:30pm, but it gradually got a lot busier throughout our visit. I ordered the mixed roast, which was a very generous size. While all the components were satisfactory, the meat was under seasoned and the potatoes and gravy were lacking flavour. However, the cauliflower cheese, ordered separately as a side, was one of the best I’ve had. Extremely cheesy! I wouldn’t rush back for a roast, but it is a lovely pub to enjoy a drink in.
Best meals I have ever had!! I loved it and I want more!! Cool old pub too and the staff was friendly and nice to talk to.
Lovely spot, huge capacity: service suffers as a result. Food can vary from decent to poor and drinks and food are quite overpriced but will keep supporting local pubs like this. Would use more if it were better value!
