About the role
We're looking for a full time Kitchen Porter to join the team at The Cricketers Inn. You'll be at the heart of a busy kitchen, keeping it clean, organised and running smoothly so the chefs can do what they do best.
No previous experience is necessary. Full training is provided, and there's a genuine opportunity to learn and progress in the kitchen if that's where you want to take it.
Key responsibilities
- •Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the kitchen at all times
- •Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently
- •Keep the dishwashing and pot wash areas clean, tidy and well organised
- •Assist the chefs with basic food preparation as required, such as washing, peeling and prepping ingredients
- •Help with receiving, checking and storing deliveries safely and correctly
- •Rotate stock following first in, first out to minimise waste and maintain freshness
- •Follow all cleaning schedules and hygiene procedures
- •Dispose of rubbish and recycling in line with kitchen procedures and safety guidelines
- •Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
- •Follow all health and safety and food hygiene standards, including correct use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
